The Media Festival 2010 takes off in Manchester

The convergence of digital content and business is being discussed by veterans of the creative industry during the 3 day event.

“It’s a festival that gives you insight into how traditional media are doing online, the future business models, revenues and issues," explains, John Cassy, Channel Director, Sky Arts, BSkyB. Speakers during this week's event have included Peter Smith, President, NBC Universal; Joe Godwin, Director, BBC Children’s; Matt Locke, Acting Head, Cross Platform, Channel 4 and Julie Meyer, CEO, Adriadne Capital.

Among the items on the agenda are ‘Exploring new business models for digital content’, ‘Understanding the phenomenon of global TV and its future’, and ‘Examining the critical success factors of publishing’.
