PR Academy, Ken Livingstone honor excellence in communication for 2011
The PR Academy Awards night took place last week in London. The evening recognised five outstanding students who had received distinctions in their communication qualifications.
The PR Academy teaches CIPR accredited courses including an Internal Communications Certificate.
Ken Livingstone was the guest speaker for the evening. His speeched touched on the crucial role the PR industry played in achieving success in the Olympic bid. He accredited Britain with excelling in the field of PR and that its professionals appreciate the importance of presentation when it comes to winning bids and contracts.
Speaking to Kevin Ruck of the PR Academy, he believed “these qualifications go a long way to prefessionalise the industry of communications, especially the relatively new and specialised area of internal comms and public affairs.”
Winners of the award expressed greater confidence in their abilities at its completion, endorsing further studies and learning as an adult.
We'll be speaking to Kevin Ruck and other professionals on training in the industry on SimplyTV, March 7th. Register now.
