Will it be a score for social media command center at the Super Bowl?
3 February, 2012 - 10:35
This Sunday's Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis will be the first to feature a social media command center to enrich the experience for American football fans.
The command center will be in charge of providing information on anything visiting fans want to know about Indianapolis - from where to park to where to find a good restaurant.
It will be staffed by 16 full-time employees and 30 volunteers who manage the @superbowl2012 Twitter handle and related accounts on Facebook and YouTube to name a few. There will also be a blog.
Raidious is the digital media company overseeing the social media strategy for the Super Bowl Host Committee, and says, if fans are online discussing anything about the Super Bowl experience, "we're able to determine that and respond to them."
