Sayings you may not be familiar with.

Hungarian: Fish stinks from its head
Means: Most mistakes (of companies etc) originate among the leaders

 

Czech: Long tongue - short hands
Means: Those who talk a lot do little work

Slovakian: Spectacles on the nose
Means: Pay attention!

Polish: First plums are worm-infested
Means: The first steps/actions you make are rarely successful

Hungarian: How could the boots get on the table?
Means: What has that got to do with it?

Polish: If grandma had a moustache she would be grandpa
Means: Someone who makes too many assumptions and does not consider the facts
